I was lucky enough to be selected by Influenster to participate in the Flourish Voxbox. We received this for free in exchange for trying the products and sharing out honest opinions using social media outlets.

Welch’s Fruit Rolls

The Welch’s fruit rolls were awesome according to my 6-year-old son. We received 1 Berry flavor, 1 Strawberry flavor, and 1 Tropical Punch flavor fruit roll. He had one right after opening the Voxbox and enjoyed it , the other 2 we saved for after school snacks for the couple of days afterward. When I asked my son what he thought of the fruit rolls he said “mom, fruit roll-ups done even rule anymore, these are the best” I thought that was awfully cute and he has continued to ask when we will be buying more of these. I wish that Costco or Sam’s Club would begin carrying a bulk size box of these, I usually pick up the box of fruit by the foot because everyone in the family likes them, both adults and kids alike, so I am sure I would need to purchase these Welch’s fruit rolls in bulk as well if I want them to last more than 1 day in our home. I will definitely be purchasing these in the future, just hope I can find a large count box.

Dropps Detergent

This Dropps detergent is a subscription plan where you are able to select the type and amount of detergent to order on a monthly subscription. We received a free box to test thanks to Influenster, we only had to pay a few dollars for shipping. The box included the laundry pods and a 2.0 fluid ounce bottle of Dropps Defense Extra Strength Odor Blocking Fabric Refresher. The laundry detergent pods were great, my son liked that they were already in the perfect amount and all he had to do was grab it and throw it in the machine to help mama with laundry time. He very much enjoys being a helper so this was great, I think I may be switching to pods just to help boost his self-esteem when trying to help out around the house. As for the quality, it was great, these pods got my husband’s clothes clean which can be a feat seeing how he is a mechanic. Also, hubby frequently complains about the laundry detergent I use; he seems to have trouble with all of the name brands (Tide, Gain, etc…) he is always saying that they irritate his skin. With these Dropps pods I did not hear even 1 complaint about skin irritation which is great so I know these would be good in our home.

As for the Dropps Defense extra Strength Odor Blocking Refresher, I also really liked this. I have been spraying the clean clothing and they seem to hold a fresh scent longer by doing this. Additionally, I recently pulled out all of my winter clothing that I pack up for the summer. I sprayed the clothing with this while hanging it up and all of the clothing smells freshly washed so I do not have to rewash to get any funny smells out before wearing. This saved me a lot of time and effort this winter season. I think I need this stuff around on a constant basis now, I never tried anything like it before but I sure do love it.

I also really appreciate that by doing a subscription box, this would be left right at my done without having to worry about it. I just need to get better at estimating the amount of laundry I do on a regular basis so I could know how much to subscribe for monthly.

Balance Bar: Cookie Dough flavor I received 1 full size Cookie Dough flavor Balance Bar to test for free. I chose to take this with me on my work commute and it definitely held up great and didn’t get smooshed in my purse while riding the bust and walking to the office. Also I am an incredibly slow eater so this one bar lasted me all day and filled me up great so that I was not losing any energy toward the end of the day. I thought the taste was great, it definitely tasted like cookie dough and it did not give me any sense of that funny taste and/or chalky consistency that many bars like this have. We also received a coupon to save $1.00 off of a 6 or 10 count box of more Balance Bars. These would be great for a day when you know you will be too busy to fit in a real breakfast or lunch.

Fit Tea
I tried this Fit Tea 14-day detox for well.. obviously 14 days and it absolutely does what it says it will. I replaced my morning coffee with this tea, and just added a bit of honey to sweeten it up. I would definitely say that if you’re going to try this, make sure you are going to be somewhere where you will have access to a restroom ...frequently. During and after the 14 days though, my body did feel cleansed and healthy compared to usual and it definitely provided the daily energy boost that I look for in my morning coffee, so I didn’t feel that I was missing out on anything there. This product was great and I may be ordering more in the future.

I graduated college from the University of Colorado at Boulder as a business student majoring in Entrepreneurship. Having studied here, there was a huge emphasis placed on sustainability and cost savings. I felt that this company is going a little overboard with the packaging of this tea. The tea bags seem to be sort of satin woven bags which is just overkill for something that will be thrown away moments later. I have been on the Celestial Seasonings tour many times throughout my life as that is also located in Boulder, Colorado and at these tours I learned that they ship tea to china for tea ceremonies, it is a ritual that the participants may not touch the tea bags so for only these ceremonies Celestial Seasonings applies paper tags to the tea bags yet the bags themselves are still paper bags. The way I see it, if the usual paper bag is good enough for ancient Chinese tea ceremonies then there is really no need for these fancy tea bags. It seems like the Fit Tea company could save a lot of

money by using regular paper tea bags.

Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask

I absolutely loved this Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair mask. I always shower at night, so one night I tried this in my hair in addition to my usual conditioner and the next morning, I could not believe how soft and amazing my hair felt and the smell is amazing. The smell reminds me of Avons Skin So Soft products but the smell is not as overpowering which is nice. I loved it so much that the next day I ordered the Eva NYC Shampoo, conditioner, and volume powder. I have been using these Eva NYC products ever since and am beyond happy with the status of my hair. I find that I am able to style it easier and get it to do what I want. The biggest difference I noticed is that my hair feels so nice and lightweight, which is great because my hair is typically very thick and heavy so this was a very nice change. I also have gotten a number of comments on how shiny and nice my hair looks so it definitely must be making a difference. I absolutely love this stuff and will continue to order and use going forward.

The only disappointment was that I received in the Voxbox, a coupon to save $1.00 off of any Eva NYC products at Ulta (in-store only) but unfortunately the Ulta near me does not carry the Eva NYC products in store so I am unable to use the coupon which sort of stinks since I did definitely purchase some of these products but had to do so online.

I would recommend these products to anyone, even my mama and sister have been using the volume powder and also like it, my sister asked for her own for Christmas this year.

Origins Plantscriptions Anti-aging
I received a free sample size bottle of some Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging cream to use for morning and night. I have been using this on my face and it seems to be helping with the appearance of old pimple scars that I have. I love that when putting it on, it feels to light and refreshing on my face and does n
ot leave any sticky or oily residue on my hands nor does it feel that way on my face. This seems to be the perfect consistency.

In addition to the sample we received, we were invited to visit an Origins store for one of their in-store events and schedule a mini-facial. I scheduled these for my sister and I for a friday evening and we had a blast having some sister time at the mall. At the event, we each participated in a crystal reading and found out what crystals might be beneficial in our lives then we each participated in a mini facial. During and after the mini facial, the associate wrote down the various products that she had used for each of us and we each got our own writeup of what would be best for our individual skin types. My sis and I tend to think we are identical and use the same products so this was nice to get an individualized listing for each of us. After the mini facials, my sis and I both commented as to how soft and wonderful out faces felt, Origins products are definitely among the best I have tried. After the event, we were able to grab a fancy cup cake that they had out for guests. To my surprise there was only 1 other young lady attending the event the whole time we were there but we had a blast and it was nice that it was not overcrowded so we were able to have a good conversation with the associates about the products.

Kohls

My little one and I headed to Kohl's to do some back to school clothes shopping thanks to the suggestion from our Influenster Voxbox. While at Kohl's we found some awesome clothes for him, and to my surprise they fit much better than the items I have been purchasing at JCPenney, specifically the pants. We also found for him a matching Star Wars long sleeve shirt and hoodie jaket that he really liked. We also found a fun backpack so that someone feels like the coolest kid in school. We had a blast together trying on clothes and just having a silly day.

Also, while we were at Kohl’s, on the way to the checkout with my sons items, I found a small rack of festive halloween jewelry. I picked up for myself, a cute Halloween necklace that has a little candy corn pendant and a little pumpkin among other little jewels. It was super cute and I have gotten a number of compliments on it so far this year.

After such a nice experience, we will definitely be shopping at Kohl’s more often, especially for clothes for my son.
